Kazee vs HubSpot
Kazee vs HubSpot: an honest comparison for Kenyan teams
HubSpot is a customer platform with marketing, sales, service, content and data hubs, a free CRM and a large app marketplace. Kazee is a smaller suite for businesses in Kenya and East Africa that puts CRM and support next to team chat, projects and HR.
If you are weighing up a HubSpot alternative in Kenya, this page compares the two using each company’s own published information. Where HubSpot does more, we say so.

Who each one suits
The clearest split is marketing. If marketing is at the centre of how you grow, HubSpot is built around it. If you need tools for the whole team, Kazee covers more of the day-to-day work.
- HubSpot suits businesses that grow through marketing and content and want marketing, sales and service in one customer platform.[4][5]
- HubSpot also suits teams that rely on many connected tools and want a large marketplace of apps to choose from.[7]
- Kazee suits growing teams that need CRM and support, plus team chat, projects and HR for everyone else, under one sign-in.
- Kazee also suits businesses with many staff outside sales, such as field teams and shop staff, who only need chat, projects and HR self-service on a $5 seat.
Where HubSpot is stronger
HubSpot is larger and longer established than Kazee. If these points matter most, it may be the better choice.
- Marketing. HubSpot has dedicated Marketing and Content hubs. Kazee has no marketing or email campaign app.[4]
- Marketplace. HubSpot lists more than 2,000 apps in its marketplace. Kazee has no marketplace and connects to a small number of tools.[7]
- Scale and track record. HubSpot was founded in 2006 and reports over 306,000 customers in more than 135 countries.[8]
- AI agents you can use today. HubSpot offers a range of agents, such as a Customer Agent and a Prospecting Agent. Kazee’s Agent Space is an invite-only private beta.[6]
- Help for young startups in Africa. HubSpot’s startup programme gives eligible young startups incorporated in Africa 30% off paid tools in the first year, with some exclusions.[9]
Where Kazee is different
Kazee is built for the whole company, not only the customer-facing teams.
- Team chat, projects and HR included. Kazee Chat, Spaces and People come with every seat, so the same sign-in covers messages, calls, projects, documents, leave and payslips.
- Two simple seat prices. Kazee is free for up to 3 people. On the paid plan, people who work in CRM, Desk and Books are $20 a month each, and people who only need Chat, Spaces and People are $5. Prices are in US dollars, before VAT. There is no onboarding fee on the pricing page.
- Kenyan payroll basics. Kazee People runs payroll with PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and Housing Levy rates that HR can update.
- Support channels that fit the market. Kazee Desk handles email, SMS and live chat in one queue, with SLAs, macros, a knowledge base and CSAT.
How to move from HubSpot to Kazee
Kazee has no import from HubSpot today, so plan the move in steps.
- Start where HubSpot does not reach. Bring the whole company onto Kazee Chat and Spaces, or HR onto Kazee People, while sales and marketing stay in HubSpot.
- Keep your records. Take a copy of your HubSpot data before you change anything.
- Move sales and support when ready. Contact us when you want to bring customers and deals into Kazee CRM or tickets into Kazee Desk, and we can talk through your data.
